You will be living just a stone’s throw away from other world-class surf points. Pasta Point, Sultans, Honkeys, Jailbreaks and Lhohis are within boat distance. So, choose the best spot for the days conditions and sample some of the other world-class waves on offer.
Hang out with your fellow surfers and get a taste of the Maldivian culture and food. After the early morning surf session you will have the best pancakes ever!
Your host Firu, will give valuable advice on when and where to go surfing, plus help you with any other activities you may want to do, be it snorkeling, diving, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Akiri Surf Retreat is clean and cozy. You will feel home away from home. The rooms are spacious and fine. And they will give you bikes to cruise around the island.
Heads Up!
Speedboat transfers from Male’ to Thulusdhoo are usually scheduled couple of times during the day, so you will need to keep a close eye on the Speedboat schedule when you plan your vacation.
Wild-life sightings are not always predictable, and though they will try their best to make your experience worthwhile–it is ultimately beyond the control of the service provider.
Local islands are distinctly different from resorts, in that you share the island with locals. With the tourism boom in the island, you will find many guest houses under construction.
Local islands also do not have the same resources and capacity as resorts:, some issues such as waste management. Be forewarned that you may come across unsightly sites on your evening stroll around the island (this is beyond the guest house’s control).
Alcohol is not available since its a local island. There is a boat located just off of Thulusdhoo serving beers, cocktails, wines and spirits during the evening.
