Set in a lagoon with nothing but a sandy shoreline between you and some fun waves just a short paddle away. Laamu Atoll offers a much quieter surf scene than its more famous sibling atolls to the north. Surfers have the surrounding surf breaks almost to themselves, maybe a couple of the resort’s staff may head out on the water on their day off.
Germmies, can hone their skills at the soft-rolling wave of ‘The Shoulder’, just a short paddle from the beach. Intermediates can rip at Petrol’s, a fun left-hand peak perfect for progression. While advanced surfers can attack the mighty Yin Yangs.

Your surf guides will have your board brought to the boat every morning. They will strip and re-wax the board, switch the fins and everything else you may need without having you ask for it. Just jump in the boat and go surfing!
There is so much to do here besides surfing. Dive or snorkel the amazing house reef, swim at the fun pool, jet ski, kayak, SUP, or simply walk the beach and look for shells.
The wilf life is abundant in Laamu Atoll. There are sand sharks right in the shoreline! Hermit crabs in abundance. Rays, dolphins are a common sight as you enjoy a meal overlooking the water.
Enjoy the breeze blowing in your faces every morning as you bike to the breakfast buffet.
The villas are spacious, and the bathrooms are unique. With outdoor rain showers, glass tub looking down onto the ocean, you can jump right into the ocean from the room deck!
The entire resort is built with high quality sustainable materials and guests are encouraged to follow the 'No shoes, no news' way of life during their stay. The resort thoughtfully places large pots of cool water every 10-15 metres all along the walkways and jetties to ensure that your feet never burn if the wood gets too hot. You are also welcome to wear sandals or flip flops if you wish. In keeping with their eco-friendly management philosophy, we noticed almost no plastic being used and very little paper.
Heads Up!
Getting there is part of the fun. From Male International Airport you’ll be escorted to the domestic terminal lounge ready for a fascinating bird’s-eye view flight of the Maldives – a 35-minute flight to Laamu Atoll. Your host will arrange a 15-minute speedboat trip to the resort from the domestic airport.
Some of the domestic planes are small with limited baggage space. If you are planning to bring your surfboard, make sure it doesn’t exceed 7 foot (213 cm). Let us know in advance so that we can confirm the arrangement with the domestic airline.
Expect some minor changes to the speedboat transfer schedule. If you want a worry-free ride that works with your itinerary, then you can choose a private charted transportation too! Make sure to in advance when you make the booking.
